Liam is big on gadgets and technology. He has fond memories of his first contact with a computer at primary school - a BBC Micro. The big black floppy disks, along with blocky graphics and sounds that mimicked a basic mobile phone ringtone.
Growing up, Liam owned a number of computers over the years. His first was a ZX Spectrum+2, which had a mere 128k of memory and used to load games off tapes. Next was a Commodore Amiga 600, followed by his first PC.
As well as being quite computer savvy, Liam spends some of his spare time reading tech blogs to find out what's hot and what's not in the world of technology.
What fascinates Liam about gadgets and technology is the speed at which things have advanced in his lifetime and the way in which society interacts with and uses technology in everyday life.
Having been an owner of various gadgets over the years, he has no doubt that the most impressive thing for him so far has been the Apple iPhone. He finds the amount of functionality and flexibility in one device quite astounding.
Liam is also partial to a bit of online gaming on his Xbox 360 when he's not busy presenting the weather, composing music or with his friends and family.
One of Liam's broadcasting ambitions apart from the weather is to present on a gadgets and technology programme.
He thinks it would be a great opportunity to combine his broadcasting experience and love of technology. Or maybe just as an excuse to get his hands on the latest gadgets before everyone else does!
